In this session, André Ranchin (Hymans Robertson / IFoA Biodiversity Working Party) will provide an update on biodiversity loss, outline the implications for financial systems and discuss the role of natural capital investments.
André Ranchin is a Senior Investment Consultant at Hymans Robertson, a UK actuarial consulting firm. He is the climate and nature lead at Hymans and is responsible for advising a range of investment clients with assets from £50 million to over £10 billion.
André is particularly passionate about biodiversity and has written numerous collaborative articles on climate and nature. He is a member of the IFoA’s Biodiversity Working Party and has roles with GFANZ and the ICSWG. André is a Fellow of the ÌìÃÀMV and holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Oxford/Imperial College.
