The working party will explore the interpretation and application of fiduciary duty for UK pension scheme investments, with an emphasis on presentation of practical examples of market practice.

This working party aims to look at the considerable legislation and policy changes being initiated in 2025 to attract investment in areas that have scope to deliver impact.
The group will analyse the current tailwinds and headwinds for both liquid and illiquid impact investments and will explore the role that actuaries can play to bring this into mainstream investment.

There is a lack of knowledge which many financial institutions have about infrastructure investment. This working party will undertake research to uncover information about the risks and rewards which investing institutions are likely to experience

Since its inception, the working party has collaborated with the IFoA Policy Team on its infrastructure policy work.

This working party’s focus is on the call to action, and what can be done to address the pensions gap moving forward.

The working party aims to produce a series of blogs or articles highlighting different example applications and case studies. Topics will cover forecasting and asset projections, portfolio and risk management, operational applications, and ethics and regulatory considerations.

This working party aims to contribute to thought leadership on topics that would be of potential interest to actuaries and professionals in the private credit space.
